Another 50 children are being educated at a village site in the Garbhanga Forest which is a 3 hours walk (17km) to Parijat Academy.
In addition to children’s education, Parijat Academy provides vocational programmes too. In the future, Parijat also aims to support the community by developing appropriate healthcare and disability services.
No fees are charged for the education and other services provided by Parijat Academy. Funding is derived solely from individual donations and contributions from small charitable foundations. Parijat means “Heavenly Flowers” in Assamese.

Why the mid-day meal programme was created:
The mid-day meal programme has been initiated by lordsai.com to support the children's education by providing a fresh nutritional meals - no child can study on an empty stomach. What a child eats today will have a striking and lasting impact on his or her physical and mental health throughout adolescence and adulthood. It is therefore essential and crucial that food of nutritional value is provided to not only help children grow up and develop physically, but also to help them do well academically in school and feel good about themselves.
Also, encourages parents to enrol their children into l school, encourages children to attend classes regularly, as well as improve the attention span.
Creates better economic and social conditions in the local region:
Strengthens community spirit and social responsibility:
Parents and students can volunteer to give selfless service to prepare the meals.
Senior students can learn about social responsibility and get a chance to serve the younger students.
How is Parijat Academy supported financially?
Parijat Academy continues to rely on impromptu donations from individuals and small charitable organisations.
Note, when you donate to this noble cause you create a shift for a better life not only for the students, but also for the generations to follow - just think about that!
Why is Lordsai.com supporting Parijat Academy?
We were approached by Mr Uttam Teron, Founder of Parijat Academy and requested if we could help them with the mid-day meal programme and spread the awareness of their needs. We feel blessed to be able to serve such a noble cause.
Mr Teron has very limited funds to support the Academy’s day to day running and he therefore needs help to feed the children.
If you wish to donate to this beautiful cause then you can pay by Paypal, Visa or Mastercard. Please note that lordsai.com will forward 100% of your giving.
