About Us Logo

Welcome to my site, my name is Nita Sairam Parmar and I’m the founder of  “ - Gifts that Give”.

I was born in Malawi in the late 60’s and immigrated to England, UK at the age of 10 years old, where I have been raised, educated and worked.

I have travelled to India well over eighteen times and was inspired by the many noble organisations which provided many services from free Mid-Day School Meals to  free medical treatment  and operations to the underprivileged.

I too, wanted to be involved  in philanthropic work, and therefore, initiated  many programmes to serve people in need.

Besides serving noble causes I also enjoy, reading, vegetarian cooking, travelling,  yoga and nurturing my Japanese garden which is my Zen and peace.

Please note we are not affiliated with any organisations.

The Journey of a Thousand Smiles!

Empowering Hope and Self-Sufficiency through the Gift of Education - from child labour to education

We serve to create an environment which empowers the steps to self-sufficiency for the underprivileged children by opening the doors to possibilities, so that they can explore a world of opportunities.

This is how we do it

We build close working relationships with the worthy causes to get an understanding of their cultural practices, faith and beliefs together with their needs and wants.

We truly appreciate and respect their way of living and under no circumstance do we impose any religious believes of any kind onto them. As a matter of fact we even go as far as supporting their Cultural Festivals!

We support the elements of education through our Educare Programme which provides them with:

These elements truly help the children as well as the parents to send their children without any economic constraints as majority of their parents earn a few dollars per month from their basic labour work - it's one of many reasons that the parents would rather take their children to do laborious tasks than to send them to school, they literally don't have sufficient funds to support their child’s education.

Gifts that Give - Profit for Good...

The above projects are supported by our business model which leverages the profit for good and we also give people an opportunity to get involved and be a part of something beautiful and noble.

Get Involved - Be a part of, "A Journey of a Thousand Smiles"

We give you an opportunity to get involved by volunteering your time, energy, resources and skills to serve these beautiful worthy causes, and to spread the awareness of their needs. It’s truly a journey of joy!

Volunteers who are Involved

“Helping, fixing and serving represent three different ways of seeing life. When you help, you see life as weak. When you fix, you see life as broken. When you serve, you see life as whole. Fixing and helping may be the work of the ego, and service the work of the soul.” - Rachel Naomi Remen
